How to report an accident or damage

On your PC or tablet using the free KBC Touch app

Log in to KBC Touch and choose the domain for which you want to file a claim: Home, Family, Vehicle, or Business. Then select the insurance policy under which you want to report your damage.

On your smartphone using the free KBC Mobile app

You can do this in several ways:

  1. Tap the Kate icon in the top-right corner. Say or type that you want to file a claim. Kate will guide you through the entire process.
  2. Tap “My KBC”. Select the insurance policy you want to use. You can then file your claim.
  3. Tap “My KBC”, scroll down, and tap “All contacts”. Then tap “Report damage or hospitalisation or follow up your file”.

Provide us with the correct information

To assist you as effectively as possible, we need the following:

  • The date of your damage or accident
  • A short description of the damage: water damage, glass breakage, fire damage, …
  • Photos and any other supporting documents showing the damage

Send large photo or video files via WhatsApp to +32 492 16 42 23.

In case of a traffic accident

Please send us as soon as possible:

  • The completed European accident report form
  • The police report number
  • A copy of your police statement

Any injuries?

  • Consult a doctor
  • If you did not go to the emergency department, visit your general practitioner
  • Keep all medical certificates, make copies of all doctor’s bills and pharmacy receipts, and keep a detailed overview of all costs
  • If your accident happened on your commute to or from work, inform your employer

Have you been summoned before the police court?

Please provide us with:

  • A copy of the summons
  • The name and address of your lawyer, if you have already chosen one

A copy of the violation notice (sent to you by mail after the offence)
