[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]Since 2018, the government has made it possible for employees, self-employed persons and pensioners to do extra work for a fee, without being taxed on this. But what about the insurance?<\/p>\n

The untaxed side jobs are subdivided into 3 categories: social work, occasional services between citizens and side jobs through recognised sharing economy platforms:[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_column][\/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column width=”1\/2″][vc_column_text]<\/p>\n

Association work<\/b><\/strong><\/h3>\n

In this case, it is up to the association to adjust their insurances so that who performs side jobs is insured for his or her liability and physical accidents while performing the work.<\/p>\n

Please note:<\/strong> in certain cases, who performs a side job can still be held personally liable and therefore has to fall back on family insurance.[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_column][vc_column width=”1\/2″][vc_column_text]\"\"[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_column][\/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]<\/p>\n

Occasional services between citizens<\/b><\/h3>\n

If you perform side jobs from time to time for someone else, you are obliged to insure your liability. This is possible through a family insurance policy. The permitted activities were recorded in a predefined list made by the government.<\/p>\n

Side jobs through recognised sharing economy platforms<\/b><\/h3>\n

If you join a recognised sharing economy platform, you should first check how you are insured via the platform itself. Take the necessary precautions and check with your insurer to find out whether additional insurance is required. You can find a list of the recognised sharing economy platforms here<\/a>.<\/p>\n
